Lou Planchand, aka Lou Zago, was born in Toulouse in 1990. She is a freelance illustrator and comic strip author, and creates live drawings for events.

Self-taught, she has always drawn, but didn't choose to make a career out of it at first. After studying hotel management, she worked in the restaurant business for 8 years.

It was at the time of the health crisis in 2020 that she started drawing again on a daily basis and began to consider a career change. Since then, Lou has been exploring different techniques, trying her hand at illustration for press and publishing, comics, corporate communications and all the opportunities that allow her to draw and practice her new profession.

At the same time, she took courses at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, attended live-model workshops and internships with illustrators she admired, and practiced daily notebook drawing.

Her first comic book, Césure, written in collaboration with Laure Garancher, will be published in 2024 by Nathan BD.
