Expertise France's actions

Expertise France is the public agency dedicated to international technical cooperation. It designs and implements projects in the field such as governance, security, climate and health. Expertise France helps to strengthen public policies in developing and emerging countries.

The public agency advises, trains and supports its partners through dialogue, joint construction and by devising locally appropriate solutions. Active in the field, it is keen to strengthen the capacities of countries by exchanging knowledge.

Communicating on health observatories

Our project is in harmony with these convictions: the idea was to create a document to inform, alert and encourage new practices regarding health observatories.

Established some fifteen years ago, observatories have proved to be particularly innovative and effective alongside healthcare systems. They have proved their efficiency for diseases such as HIV and tuberculosis. We have been able to gather testimonials and accounts of how they have worked, and the project shows the reality on the field. We hope to incite their development and duplication!

The Ink Link's part

Our association is committed to making the contents of the booklet as accessible as possible: choice of concepts to illustrate, rhythm of reading and drawing interventions, visual representation of important issues and challenges. The illustrations help us to understand the observatories, how they work and the questions they raise.

Cartoonist Héloïse Chochois

To effectively synthesize all this data, we entrusted the text to a health expert, and then the illustrations to Héloïse Chochois. A graduate of the École Estienne with experience as a scientific illustrator, she specializes in popularizing science, as demonstrated by her recent comic books.

The booklet comes along with six practical fact sheets designed to help those wishing to embark on the health observatory adventure. They offer tangible examples of the various stages in the process. These documents are available online, in the field and are presented at international conferences.
